Tiffany Favrile Cordial Glass signed LCT with unusual reddish-tint, circa 1910

This is a single, small Tiffany Favrile cordial glass.

Approximate Dimensions: 4.65″ and 1.5″

Marks: The base is etched “L. C. T.” for Louis Comfort Tiffany

As you can see in the picture, this unique glass has that Tiffany iridescent, gold-ish, coloring. Uniquely, this one has a hint of red to it, which I have not seen before. It is in excellent condition, but do note that as hand-crafted and blown glass there are visible imperfections that add to the authenticity and allure of this remarkable find.

Unique Tiffany Studios Pine Needle Notepad, 1022, Gorgeous antique in excellent condition in brown bronze and green glass

Tiffany Studios Pine Needle notepad, Tiffany Studios notepad

Another great find, this is a notepad in the Tiffany Pine Needle pattern. It consists of a cover made of Tiffany slag glass encased in a lattice of brown bronze in the Tiffany Studios Pine Needle pattern, which is a subset of the “Etched Metal and Glass” collection and includes both the Pine Needle and Grapevine patterns. The cover is hinged and covers a metal base. Paper of the proper size can be inserted between the two for taking notes.

Pattern: Pine Needle

Approximate Dimensions:  7.5″ x 4.5″ x .75″

Marks: Stamped “Tiffany Studios New York 1022”

This example of the Tiffany Studios’ work is in excellent condition. There are no cracks to the glass, there are no bends to the bronze, and the hinge is in perfect working order. As you can see in the photos, there is some fine flaking to the finish and some minor scratching on the back.

This notepad from the Tiffany New York Studios collection is a fine example of their metalwork workmanship that will show well on a desk or in a display.

Tiffany Studios Pine Needle Ashtray and Match Holder, #958, in good condition with White Glass, circa 1910

Tiffany Studios Ashtray, Tiffany Studios Pine Needle Ashtray

Another truly unique item from Tiffany Studios New York Pine Needle desk set pattern, this is an Ashtray and Match holder meant to be used at a desk. Pine Needle is a subset of the “Etched Metal and Glass” Tiffany pattern. These pieces — which combine bronze overlay with colored glass — generally come in gold bronze and white glass, or brown bronze and green glass. This Pine Needle piece was in production between approximately 1900 and 1920.

Pattern: Pine Needle

Approximate Dimensions: 5″ x 5″ x 5″

Marks: Clearly stamped “Tiffany Studios New York 958”

This unique piece is in very good condition. There are no cracks in the glass. It was used as an ash tray, so there is some staining of the lower surface. If you look closely, there is also a very slight indentation that you can only see if you turn it over (see photos). Otherwise, an engaging piece in excellent shape.

An interesting piece, this Tiffany Studios Pine Needle piece of metal ware can complete a set, or it can serve a variety of functional uses as an addition to your home or office.

Tiffany Studios Grapevine Scale, #872, Functional and in Excellent condition with readable scale, circa 1910

Tiffany Studios Grapevine Scale, Tiffany Grapevine scale, Tiffany Deskset

This is a Tiffany Studios New York Grapevine desk set postal scale meant to be used at a desk. Grapevine is a subset of the “Etched Metal and Glass” Tiffany pattern. These pieces which combine bronze overlay with colored glass generally come in gold bronze and white glass, or have a brown bronze and green glass. The brown bronze often has a patina from the natural aging that adds hints of red and green. This Grapevine piece has the darker bronze with white slag glass with some faint caramel coloring. It was in production between approximately 1900 and 1920.

Pattern: Grapevine

Approximate Dimensions: 4″ x 3″ x 2″

Marks: Stamped “Tiffany Studios New York 872”

This Tiffany scale is in exceptionally good condition. It is one of the cleanest pieces I have ever come across, and the markings on the scale are really clear. All of the glass is intact, and the scale works perfectly. The platter where you place your letter for weighing is also almost perfectly flat (these thin round disks are prone to bending). There is a slight ding on the bottom in one corner as depicted in the photos, but it is almost unnoticeable unless you look at the underside.

There are few Tiffany Desk Set pieces that are this clean as this one and still functional. Tiffany Studios, of course, descended from Tiffany Furnaces under Louis Comfort Tiffany’s guidance, so this item would make a distinguished addition to a desk or in an office.

Gorgeous Tiffany Favrile Candlestick signed “L. C. T.” with portion of original Tiffany label, 7″ tall

Tiffany Favrile Candlestick

This is one of the taller, hand-made Tiffany Favrile candlesticks with a twisted stem.

Approximate Dimensions: 7″ x 4.25″

Marks: L. C. T. is etched into the base. 3108 is also lightly etched into the base near the label, which may be a shipment or lot number.

This is an example of Tiffany Studios glass in excellent condition. The color is rich and well defined, and the glass has a fine, slightly rough finish that is part of the Tiffany Favrile design. There is some wax residue within the candlestick’s central column.

Already unique, what makes this piece special? Even after approximately a century, it still has much of original paper label as it shipped from Tiffany’s factory. Most often these labels were removed, wore off, or were washed off. Not this one.

Now is your chance to own a unique and charming bit of American history, or to give it as a treasured gift to that special someone on an occasion to be remembered forever. And, of course, antique Tiffany is also a smart investment.

Tiffany Studios Zodiac “Paper Rack” Letter Holder, #1009, in exceptionally good shape with rich brown patina, circa 1910

Tiffany Letter Rack, Tiffany Studios Zodiac Letter Rack

Part of the Tiffany Studios New York Zodiac desk set, which was believed to have been produced with as many as twelve different finishes (Holland, Tiffany Desk Sets, pg 8), this item is a two-slot “paper rack”.

This Zodiac piece was likely produced between 1900 and 1920.

Pattern: Zodiac

Approximate Dimensions: 9″ x 2.5″ x 6.5″

Marks: Stamped “Tiffany Studios New York 1009”

This Tiffany Studios piece is in excellent condition, one of the finest I’ve seen. It has a rich, dark brown finish with a mature patina with hints of green and red. It is smooth to the touch. This is a relatively heavy piece.

This piece of Antique Tiffany would be a nice addition to any collection or on a desk or counter for catching the daily mail. It is an eye-catching conversation piece from one of America’s most accomplished artists whose legacy includes Tiffany & Company. This piece is in exceptionally good shape.

For pricing and availability of this piece, please see it in my store of Tiffany Studios pieces.
